Research and development.

For over 100 years, Dörentrup Feuerfestprodukte GmbH & Co. KG has been producing refractory materials for highly varied applications in foundries for steel, iron and non-ferrous metals. The demands placed on the refractory material rise as the requirements made by the foundry industry and end consumers increase. Our existing products are constantly being improved and new products developed, based on many years of experience and intensive activities in the area of research and development.

This is done in close cooperation with our sales department and our clients, giving due consideration to customer-specific production processes. Numerous tests and experiments can be conducted in our own development laboratory; plus, we also cooperate closely with scientific institutes.

A special capability is that we are able to conduct smelting experiments in our in-house test smelting plant. This enables us to test our products in close approximation of the actual working conditions at our clients.
